<“~던” suffix explanation>
용언의 어간 또는 높임의 ‘-시-’나 시제의 ‘-았(었)-’ 등에 붙어, 지난 일을 회상하거나 그 회상 사실의 지속을 뜻하는 어미 : a suffix indicates “continuation of reflection about one’s past memory, which is attached to the root stem of a word or “-시”(a suffix show honourific attitude) or “았/었”(a suffix makes a verb past tense)

1) 나의 살던 고향은 꽃 피는 산골 : My hometown was a flower-flowering mountain valley
2) 한때 외국으로 수출하던 상품 : goods once exported abroad
