* 벅차다 has the following two meanings
1) [=힘에 겹다. 정도에 넘쳐 감당하기가 어렵다] be beyond one's power[capacity]; be above one's ability; be too much for
- 이 일은 하루에 끝내기는 좀 벅차다 : This work is a bit too much to finish in a day
- 벅찬 일 : work beyond[that surpasses] one's power / a stiff[formidable] task
- 그는 내게 벅차다 : He is too much for me
- 나 혼자서는 벅차다 : I cannot manage it alone
- 이것은 내게 벅차다 : This is more than I can handle. / This is beyond[too much for] me
- 장난꾸러기 아이들은 선생에게 벅찼다 The teacher was not able to control the mischievous boys
- 그 일은 내게는 너무 벅차다 : The job is too hard[difficult / much] for me
2) [=(생각이나 느낌이) 넘칠 듯이 가득하다] : be full; be overflowing
- 가슴 벅찬 감격 : heart-overflowing emotion
- 나는 기쁨으로 가슴이 벅찼다 : My heart was overflowing with joy.
* 벅찬 : an adverb of 벅차다 by ‘-ㄴ‘
