Let’s learn about "삶, 희망“

삶이 있는 한 희망은 있다 = 살아있는 한 희망은 있다 : As long as there is life, there is hope

* 살다 : live

* 삶 : life <— 살(the stem of 살다) + -ㅁ(a suffix makes a verb a noun)

* -이 : a particle makes 삶 the topic of the sentence  after a word ends in a consonant

* 있다 : exist; be; there is; there are

* 있는 : 있(the stem of 있다) + -는(a suffix makes a verb present tense and attributive)

* 한 : [=범위 내] so far as; as far as; to the limit that ‥; unless

- 내가 알고 있는 한은 : as far as I know

- 사정이 허락하는[나에 관한] 한 : as far as circumstances permit[I am concerned]

- 될 수 있는 한 일찍 와라 : Come as soon as possible[you can]

* -이[가] 있는 한 : as long as

* 살아있다 : to live <— 살다 + 아(a connection suffix between two verbs) + 있다(exist; be; there is; be …ing)

* 희망 : hope

* -은 : a particle makes 삶 subjective  after a word ends in a consonant
