개인적인 질문 하나 해도 될까요 ?

<A person> 이런 거 물어볼 줄 모르셨겠지만, 개인적인 질문 하나 해도 될까요 ? i know this is kind of unexpected, but can i ask something persoanl ?

이런 거, 이런 것 : this thing
* “거” is used for easy pronunciation instead of “것”

그런 거, 저런 것 : such a thing
저런 거, 저런 것 : thta thing

* 그러하다 : be such

* 이러하다 : be as this

물어보다 : ask <— 묻다(ask) + ㄹ(a letter makes a word future tense) + 어(a conncection letter makes two verb unto a word) + 보다(see, look, watch)
줄 : (the fact) that ~~
물어볼 줄 : that i ask something <— 물어보다 + ㄹ(a letter indicates a general fact) + 줄(the fact that ~)

모르다 : don’t know
모르셨겠지만 : even though (you) don’t know <— 모르다 + 셨(a letter shows high respect attitude) + 겠지만,지만(even though, if)

개인 : person <— 개(each) + 인(human being)
개인적인 : personal <— 개인 + 적(a suffix has a meaning of “suitable”) + 인(a suffix makes a word adjective)

질문 : question, inquiry <— 질(ask, answer) + 문(question)

[~ㄹ’s usage]

1) indicating the future tense with the foreboding of guesswork, determination, possibility, etc

예) 드디어 떠날 시간이 되었다 : at last It's time to leave.

2) expressing only guesswork or possibility without the idea of tense

예) 발 딛고 들어설 틈도 없다 : There is no time to step on.

3) In front of a noun that means time (e.g., “때·적·제·무렵”, etc), it only decorates behind-word without a tense function

예) 해질 무렵 : at the turn of day

4) Without the idea of tense, it indicates a general fact

예) 함께 일할 사람을 뽑다 : Pick someone to work with
