Let's learn about “한국인의 호칭”(titles in Korea)

한국사람들은 아래사람, 친한 사람이나 제삼자를 제외하고는 직접적으로 당신이라는 대명사를 사용하지 않는다. 대신에 문장에서 나를 먼저 말하고, 문자의 뒤에서 상대방의 이름을 부르는 것으로 한다. 잘모르는 사람이나 나이가 많은 분은 직위나 신분의 이름으로 부르거나 “김 선생님”과 같이 성씨를 앞에 붙인 신분으로 부르거나 한다. “당신”이란 말을 사용하는 경우는 친척이나 나이 많은 가족 중의 한사람을 존칭으로서 부를 때만 “당신께서는”라고 하는 특수한 경우에만 사용한다.

None of Koreans use the pronoun ""당신(you)"" directly except for the younger, close friends or third parties. Instead, we say me first in a sentence like “나는” or “내가”, and call the other person's name behind the setence. To unfamiliar persons or the olders, we can call them the pattern of “last name + position/rank” like ""김 선생님""(Sir. kim). we can use only the word ""당신께서는(you)"" when we call one of our relatives or older family members to show respectful attitude
