Let's learn about the explanation and usage of “차마”

차마 : [abverb]

《부정이나 의문의 말 앞에 쓰이어》 ‘가엾고 애틋하여 어찌’의 뜻을 나타내는 부사 : this is an adverb expresses the meaning of ""how poor[unfortunate/hapless] and affectionate” before a negative or inquisitive word.

this means “can not do, too....to, hardly, scarcely”

【예(ex)】

(1) 어찌 차마 손찌검을 하랴 ! : How can i beat you ?
(2) 눈 뜨고는 차마 볼 수 없는 광경 : a sight[scene] I can't bear to see
(3) 어린것을 보내고 차마 돌아설 수 없었던 발길 : a footstep that I couldn't turn around after I had sent my child away

부정[不定] : (1) negative (2) uncertainty; indefiniteness; incertitude

부정[不正] : [=불공정] injustice; unfairness; iniquity; [=비행] wrong; unrighteousness; [=위법·불법·무법] illegality; unlawfulness; [=부정직] dishonesty; obliquity; [=부당] impropriety

뜻 : meaning

나타내다 : express; show; mention about

가엾다 : be unfortunate or hapless
애틋하다 : be heart-rending; painful; distressing; deplorable

어찌 : how can i ~
손찌검 : stiking: beating: hitting
손찌검하다 : strike a person; beat; hit

하랴 : how can i do it ! <— 하다(do) + 랴(an exclamation suffix expresses that “i can’t do it”

눈 뜨다 : open my eye <— 눈(eye) + 뜨다(open)

것 : thing; this case means “my child” as “어린 것”
어린 것을 보내고 : after I had sent my child away <— 어린 것 + 을(a suffix makes a word objective) + 보내다(send) + 고(a suffix means “and” or “after”)

차마 ~~ㄹ 수 없다 : can not do (it)
돌아서다 : turn around <— 돌다(turn) + 아(a letter concatenates two verb) + 서다(stand)
