<Usage of ‘아니’>
i think that you know ‘아니’ as ‘no’ is getting to goot at korean more and more.
but ‘아니’ in the above situation means ‘do you know/understand’ is right.
아니 means ‘do yoi know’ or ‘no’
1) <Situation 1>
<‘아니’ usage>
<a person give a question to b person>
엄마가 굉장히 아픈 거 아니 ? : Do you know that your mom is ill/sick in your home ?
<b person replies to a person>
아직 연락 못 받았는데, 빨리 엄머한테 연락하고 가 봐야겠어 .... : I haven't heard from anybod yet, but I have to call my mom and go home.
<Situation 2>
<my friend to me>
영화관 같이 갈래 ? : Can you go to a movie theater with me ?
<I to my friend>
아니, 안갈래 ^^ : No, i would like to do.
