아스달 연대기[年代記] :  Arthdal Chronicles is a cinema about “In the mythical land of Arth, the inhabitants of the ancient city of Arthdal and its surrounding regions vie for power as they build a new society.”

연대[年代] : [=시대] an age; an epoch; a period <— 년,연(year) + 대(generation, dynasty, period; era; take place of: replace, replacement; by turns)

* 1950년대에 : in the nineteen-fifties / in the 1950's <— 1950 + 년대(a epoch) + 에(a time suffix)
       “년” is used after last consonant
       “연” is user when first char or after last vowel

연대기[年代記] : a chronicles <— 연대(a epoch) + 기(record; a book recording persons, anecdotes, etc; remember; seals, chops; sign, mark)

아스달[Arthdal]: [=아사달] An alias name of ‘고조선’(Ancient Choseon dynasty, Ancient Korea dynasty) might existed from the 40th century B.C. to the 3rd century A.D. which was located over currently the Korean Peninsula, the Manchurian and the Shandong Peninsula of China. ‘아스달’ was the name of ancient Choseon dynasty and Capital City name of it also. In addition It is also used to refer to Gyeongju(경주), the capital of the Silla dynasty(신라 왕국: BC 57 ~ 935. Also ‘아스달’ currently indicates Seoul(서울) which is the capital city of Korea

* “아스달” means “the land of white-clad people” or “the land of No.1” or “the land of superior people” or “the land of the morning” or “Capltal city of Choseon” or “Ancient Choseon dynasty”

* ‘아스달’ was pronounced as “아사달(Arthadal)” or “아스단(Arthdan)” or “아스다(Arthda)”, and as written as 阿斯達 in Hanja(Koreanized Old Chinse characters, which was pronounced as “아스다(Arthda)” in old chinese langauge.

* 아스,아사[阿斯] : means “(1) [=하얀, 백색] white (2) the first (place), No.1, the top, the best, the head, the boss, the superior (3) [=아침] morning”,

* 달[達] : this Hanja was changed into the current word “땅” , it is pronounced as “ddang” and a native korean word ) (1) [=대지] the earth; [=지면] the ground; [=육지] land (2) [=토지] land; ground; a piece[lot / plot] of land; a landed property (3) [=토양] soil; earth; land (4) [=영토] (a) territory; a land (5) [=고장] a district; an area; [장소] a place

* We koreans usually called Korean People as “백의 민족”(People wearing a white clothes; White-clad people), which was made from “아스달의
민족”(Peoples of Arthdal”; White-clad People; People live in the land of the morning, which means Korea)

3년만의 복귀 : the return of tree years <- 3년(three years) + 만(a suffix intensify the before-word) + 의(a time suffix) + 복귀(comeback)

복귀[復歸] : comback; return <— 복(return, come back; repeatedly, again; answer; reply; recover) + 귀(come back; return to; marry (said of a woman); pledge allegiance to; p[v] belong to; attribute; turn over to; put in somebody's charge)
